A domain can only be transferred from 101 Domain if it meets the same criteria for incoming transfers. The steps below covers all the steps needed to prepare the domain name to be transferred somewhere else.
Disable the transfer locks
- Login to your 101Domain account and go to the domain dashboard.
- Click on the domain name you would like to transfer to another registrar.
- Under Quck Overview, click on the transfer lock option.
- Turn off the transfer lock by selecting the disable option from the drop-down menu.
View/Update WHOIS contact information
- Login to your 101Domain account and go to the domain dashboard.
- Click on the domain name you would like to transfer to another registrar.
- Scroll down to the WHOIS Contact Records portion.
- Click on View and Edit Contacts.
- Verify the domain contact details and update them if needed. Click on Submit once done.
Get the domain’s authorization code
- Login to your 101Domain account and go to the domain dashboard.
- Click on the domain name you would like to transfer to another registrar.
- Scroll down to the Domain Transfer and Locks page. Click Transfer to another registrar.
- A new window will pop-up containing the domain’s Authorization code.
