How to Transfer Your Domain Into GoDaddy.com From A Different Registrar

This guide details the necessary steps to transfer your domain from a different registrar to GoDaddy.com.

To move your domain to GoDaddy.com, proceed as follows:

  • Disable the Registrar Lock for your domain either by logging into your current registrar’s account or by contacting them.
  • Obtain your domain’s transfer code, commonly referred to as the Authorization Code or Auth-Code, from your existing registrar.
  • Complete the domain transfer process by visiting the GoDaddy.com website.

Insert the domain name you want to transfer and press the ‘Search’ button.

On the next page insert the Authorization Code and press ‘Continue’ button.

Following this, the domain you wish to transfer will be added to your shopping cart.

On the next page you will be offered the option of adding protection to your website.

Then on the next page proceed to check out.

Most domain transfers complete in 5-7 days.

If GoDaddy.com encounters any issues processing your transfer, they will notify you via email. You can also check the status of your transfer at any time in your GoDaddy account.
