How To Transfer Your Domain From Ionos.com To A Different Registrar

To prepare for transferring the domain, follow these steps:

1. Log in to the IONOS account that currently holds the domain.
2. Ensure that you meet all the requirements for a successful domain transfer.
3. Disable the Domain Transfer Lock.
4. Disable Private Registration.

To begin the process of transferring your domain to another registrar, you need to obtain an authorization code.

The authorization code is a security measure that ensures that only authorized parties can transfer your domain to a new registrar. You will need to obtain the code in order to authorize the transfer.

To retrieve your authorization code, go to the Renewal & Transfer page in the Domains section of your account. Then, select the domain you wish to transfer and click on “Show Authorization Code”.

After getting the  Authorization Code you can initiate the transfer process with another registrar.
